Our Product

New energy vehicle (NEV) high-voltage electric defrost systems utilize high-voltage electricity (typically 300-800V) from the vehicle's power battery to rapidly heat frost/fog on the windshield or windows. The core principle is to use high-voltage current to drive a heating element to generate heat, directly melting frost or evaporating water vapor.

Key technical solutions include:

1. High-voltage heating wire heating:

A transparent conductive film (such as silver nanowires or ITO coating) or a thin metal resistance wire is embedded in the glass interlayer. When energized, Joule heat is generated and evenly transferred to the glass surface, achieving a temperature increase rate of over 10°C per minute.

2. High-voltage PTC (positive temperature coefficient) heater:

A ceramic PTC element automatically adjusts its heating power upon power application, preventing overheating. High-voltage power supply significantly increases power output (compared to 5-10kW for high-voltage systems, compared to 1-2kW for conventional 12V systems), shortening defrost times.

3. Heat Pump System Collaborative Defrosting
Some models integrate high-voltage electric heating with heat pump air conditioning, using the heat pump to recover waste heat from the electric drive system, helping to improve the energy efficiency ratio (COP) (COP can reach 2-3) and reduce battery power consumption.

Technical Advantages

1. Efficient and Fast
The high-voltage system's power is increased by 3-5 times, reducing defrost time from 10-15 minutes in traditional fuel vehicles to 3-5 minutes, improving driving safety.

2. Energy-Saving and Environmentally Friendly
Compared to fuel vehicles that rely on engine waste heat (ineffective during cold starts), high-voltage electric defrost utilizes direct electricity, eliminating idling emissions. Combined with a heat pump, it can reduce energy consumption by over 30%.

3. Precise Control
Using temperature sensors and algorithms, it intelligently adjusts the heating area (e.g., localized defrosting of only the camera or sensor area) to avoid energy waste.

4. Integrated Design
The high-voltage circuitry is linked to the vehicle's battery management system (BMS), prioritizing remaining battery power or charging station power, alleviating range anxiety.
