A high-voltage electric defroster uses technology that directly converts electrical energy into heat, rapidly melting frosted surfaces through a high-voltage current (typically 300V–800V).
The core principle behind this system is the Joule heating effect: when current passes through a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) ceramic material, heat is generated, melting the frost. Based on the level of functional integration, these devices can be categorized into two types: standard high-voltage electric defrosters and high-voltage electric defrosters for heating and cooling
