The dual power source electric steering motor is a high-safety redundant steering assembly specially developed for new energy commercial vehicles including electric buses, heavy-duty trucks and sanitation vehicles. Products Description

The electric motor pump EHPS is a combination of "drive motor + steering hydraulic power pump". It is driven by a motor instead of a traditional engine. It provides steering hydraulic pressure for hybrid buses and electric buses. It is the power source and core component of the steering system.
Driven by a fully enclosed and high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor, the steering pump improves sealing and reliability;
The use of smooth, impact-proof flexible couplings for power transmission greatly improves the service life;
The overall protection level reaches IP67 and adopts double insulation design to ensure that there is no conduction between the motor and the oil pump;
The motor housing and steering pump housing are all made of aluminum alloy, which has excellent properties such as low noise, light weight and fast heat dissipation.

Product safety requirements

1. The steering design meets the requirements of Clause 3.9 of GB17675-1999 "Basic Requirements for Automotive Steering Systems," stably requiring a maneuvering time of no more than 4 seconds under normal conditions and no more than 6 seconds when power steering fails.
2. The steering design meets the relevant power supply requirements of Clause 4.5.2 of BMGZ-307-01 "Safety Technical Conditions for Electric Buses." Specifically, in the event of an abnormal situation requiring the disconnection of Class B high-voltage power to the entire vehicle during operation, the steering system should maintain power steering or at least maintain power steering for 30 seconds at speeds greater than 5 km/h.
Principle Summary: A dual-system approach is adopted to provide power steering. During vehicle use, if any component in the high-voltage system malfunctions, emergency steering can be achieved through the low-voltage system, greatly enhancing the safety of the steering system. High-low voltage switching is millisecond-level, with no noticeable lag or hesitation in the feel, resulting in a comfortable and smooth switching process without any rebound.
