1. Q: What are the advantages of thick film electric heaters compared with traditional PTC heaters?
A: Thick film heaters have higher energy efficiency (up to 95% or more), faster heating speed (second response), smaller size, and high power density, which are suitable for the strict requirements of new energy vehicles on space and energy consumption.
2. Q: How is the safety of thick film heaters guaranteed?
A: It uses insulating ceramic substrates and high-temperature resistant thick film materials, has overcurrent, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection functions, and has no open flames, meeting the automotive grade IP67 protection and flame retardant standards.
3. Q: How to solve the problem of start-up delay in a low temperature environment?
A: Thick film heater directly heats the coolant/air, and can output heat in 3-5 seconds. It cooperates with the preheating strategy of the battery management system (BMS) to eliminate the bottleneck of low-temperature cold start.
