Products Description

This PTC electric heater utilizes PTC technology, meeting the high-voltage safety requirements of passenger vehicles while also complying with relevant environmental requirements for engine compartment components.
The purpose of the PTC electric heater is to replace the engine block as the primary heat source, powering the PTC heating element to raise its temperature and then heating the medium in the system's circulating pipeline through heat exchange.

Products Design principles
The WPTC electric heater consists of a PTC heating element, a controller, and internal piping. The heating element is installed in an integrated brazing water tank, and the coolant flows through a high-precision manifold within the tank to achieve heat absorption and circulation.
The controller circuit board is fixed to the injection-molded housing with screws, and a connector directly connects to the circuit board. Its electrical schematic diagram is shown in Figure 1 below:

The control unit samples the current and voltage of the high-voltage circuit through shunt resistors and sampling resistors to achieve abnormal operation protection.
A transient voltage suppressor (TVS) is installed at the low-voltage power input to effectively prevent surges. A high-frequency isolation transformer provides auxiliary power on the high-voltage side. The high and low voltage control units communicate and exchange information through a digital isolator. The input auxiliary power supply has current-limiting protection. Temperature sensors NCT_A and NTC_B, located at the inlet and outlet respectively, are used to monitor the coolant temperature in real time and provide timely protection when the temperature is too high.
