PTC Coolant Heater Tips
1.What is the heating technology of electric heater?
PTC heater technology is adopted. PTC is a thermistor ceramic resistor with a positive temperature system. Its main characteristics are reflected in the R-T curve. When the external factors remain unchanged, the resistance of the heater will be infinite when it reaches a certain temperature, so as to achieve self temperature control, safety and reliability.
PTC components generate heat when energized, and heat the battery and air conditioning system of the vehicle through coolant.
2.How is it setup in detail?
(1). Resistance series circuit: series voltage division; Calculate the total voltage of fixed series resistance by collecting the voltage at both ends of a resistance.
(2). IGBT, as a switching device, is connected in series in the high-voltage circuit; Control the working state of PTC heating resistor by controlling the opening state of IGBT, and finally control the heater power; Control the conduction state between C/E by controlling the 15V voltage between IGBT G/E.
(3). High voltage acquisition, high voltage current acquisition, temperature acquisition and low voltage acquisition are all based on the principle of resistance series voltage division. They convert voltage, current and resistance signals into low voltage signals and send them to MCU, which judges the actual voltage, current and temperature values according to the corresponding relationship set in the program.
