What is the Principle of Car Parking Heater?


There are two types of car parking heaters, one is specially used to preheat the coolant (heating the liquid), and the other is used for heating (heating the air).

 

The parking heater that preheats the coolant is also commonly known as a "diesel stove". Specifically designed to solve the problem of difficulty in starting vehicles at low temperatures. The vehicle is easy to start and avoids wear and tear caused by cold starts. Most of them are installed on diesel vehicles. For example, pickup trucks, trucks, diesel SUVs, construction machinery, etc., after installing parking preheating, the coolant temperature can be increased, making the vehicle easier to start.

The heater water inlet pipe is connected to the engine water pipe through a water pump, and the water pump pumps the antifreeze at the bottom of the engine into the heater main unit. After the antifreeze warms up, it is input into the water pipe on the engine (under the thermostat), which is also a small circulation mode. If the parking heater is powerful enough, the heater can be connected in series with the heater pipe to preheat the engine and warm the interior of the car at the same time. The small water tank will also be preheated by the way, and a small amount of heat will be transferred to the cab. After the car is started, the warm air can directly blow out the hot air.


The core principle is to generate heat by burning diesel/gasoline, and the heat generated by combustion directly heats the coolant. The principle is the same as that of a boiler, so it is also called a diesel stove. Working process: The oil pump is responsible for transporting fuel to the nozzle, which is atomized and sprayed into the combustion chamber. The ignition plug in the combustion chamber ignites the fuel gas at high temperature. The coolant in the combustion chamber absorbs the heat generated by combustion. The circulation pump delivers the heated coolant to the engine. Warm up the system.

 

The principle of the preheater for heating is similar, and it is simpler than the coolant preheater:

The oil pump sucks the fuel out of the fuel tank and transports it to the nozzle. The nozzle sprays the fuel into the combustion chamber. The ignition plug in the combustion chamber is responsible for igniting the oil and gas mixture. There are heat dissipation fins outside the combustion chamber cavity. The cold air is heated by the fan after passing through the heat sink. Delivered to the hot air duct. Of course, the combustion chamber also has an independent air intake pipe and an independent exhaust pipe. The exhaust gas is discharged from the exhaust to the outside of the car to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning of passengers in the car.
