NF Group's CS-LN integrated heating and cooling defrost unit is designed for the cabs of new energy commercial vehicles, engineering vehicles, and RVs. It is an integrated thermal management assembly that combines dehumidification, cooling, heating, and rapid defrosting and defogging, replacing traditional single heating and defrosting devices to achieve year-round multi-scenario visibility protection and cabin temperature control.

 

 

 

Traditional defrosting equipment relies solely on electric heating or water-heated air blowers, which are prone to fogging in rainy or humid weather and fail to cool the windshield during hot seasons, severely limiting their usability. In contrast, the integrated heating and cooling defroster combines an evaporator heat exchanger with a PTC heating element, along with a variable-frequency fan and an electrically controlled air-duct switching structure, enabling simultaneous switching between heating and cooling modes in a single unit.

 

In rainy or foggy conditions, the equipment first lowers the air temperature. It removes moisture from the air through the cooling evaporator, then delivers warm airflow to the windshield, preventing fogging at its source. In winter, when temperatures are low and ice forms, the PTC heating module quickly activates, delivering a large volume of hot air directly to the window to melt frost quickly and simultaneously raise the glass surface temperature, delaying re-frost formation. In summer, a separate cooling mode can be activated to cool the passenger compartment, preventing fogging caused by temperature differences between the inside and outside of the windows.
