Winter Operation (Defrosting): The refrigerant circuit is closed; the hot water circuit or high-pressure PTC is energized for heating; the fan blows hot air through the duct to the inside of the windshield, melting frost and simultaneously heating the cab.

 

Summer Operation (Defogging): Air conditioning refrigerant enters the evaporator core, cooling and dehumidifying the air; dry, cold air is blown onto the windshield, quickly eliminating fogging; simultaneously, cool air can be supplied to the driver's area, achieving independent cooling for the driver's seat without relying on the overhead air conditioning in the passenger area.

 

Traditional ordinary water-based defrosters: only provide hot air, only natural wind in summer, poor dehumidification capacity, and the glass is prone to repeated fogging. The integrated heating and cooling system significantly improves defogging capabilities through cooling and dehumidification.

 

Three Operating Modes

 

Water Heating Mode (Priority): When the coolant temperature is sufficient, only waste heat is used for heating; PTC is off, saving energy.

 

Pure Electric PTC Mode: For cold starts and low water temperatures, the PTC electric heater is activated for rapid hot air defrosting.

 

Water-Electric Hybrid Mode: In extremely cold conditions, water heating and PTC operate simultaneously, outputting maximum heat to handle thick frost and ice.

 

 

 

 

Pure water-cooled defroster: Only has a water-cooled radiator; when the engine is cold, the coolant temperature is low, there is no hot air, and defrosting is slow.

Pure PTC electric defroster: Only uses electric heating; it starts quickly, but consumes a lot of power throughout the process, draining the battery.

Integrated water and electric defroster: Combines two heat sources, balancing rapid defrosting when the engine is cold with energy saving using residual heat.
