Overall System Components

Electric Pump Assembly (Core): Brushless permanent magnet motor + hydraulic pump (mostly vane pumps, some commercial vehicles use gear pumps) + built-in ECU controller; many are integrated units.
Oil reservoir, high and low pressure oil lines, steering gear (recirculating ball/rack and pinion).
Sensors: Steering wheel torque sensor, steering angle sensor, vehicle speed signal (acquired via CAN bus).

Working Principle

Working Principle
When the driver turns the steering wheel, torque and steering angle sensors collect signals, and the vehicle's CAN bus provides the vehicle speed signal, which is then transmitted to the E-HPS controller.
The ECU calculates the required power steering flow and pressure based on the vehicle speed and steering torque: Low speed/Standing: The motor operates at high speed, outputting a large flow, resulting in light steering; High speed: The motor speed decreases, reducing power steering, making the steering wheel heavier and improving driving stability; Straight driving with almost no steering: The motor operates at low speed in standby mode, consuming almost no power (power supplied on demand).
Products Application

New Energy Commercial Vehicles (Primary Scenarios):
Pure electric light trucks, medium trucks, electric vans, electric buses, and electric coaches. These vehicles lack an internal combustion engine and engine belt, making traditional belt-driven HPS systems unusable.
High vehicle load and significant steering resistance; ordinary EPS motors are underpowered and costly; EHPS hydraulic systems offer high output torque and are technologically mature and reliable. Some heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles utilize dual-power EHPS systems. In the event of a high-voltage failure, the battery provides emergency power to ensure steering safety.
