RVs generally fall into two categories:
Trailer RV, designed for sedans, vans, pickups or sports vehicles;
Self-propelled RV with its own engine.
There are eight types of motorhomes. Below we have listed the brief introductions of these eight types of motorhomes and attached pictures.
Class A Motorhome
This is the largest class of RVs. Basically, this type of RV can meet all your home life needs, spacious and well-equipped, emphasizing luxury and comfort. Class A motorhomes are built on custom chassis or 3-10 ton truck chassis. Passengers can move freely and easily in the car. It looks and feels a bit like a Greyhound bus.
Class B Motorhome
The B class is a bit smaller than the A class, and it's also easier to drive. They look similar to a van, and are often referred to as box convertibles or camper vans. Because of its small size, this type of RV is more popular with couples and single travellers.
Class B Motorhome
Class C is smaller and the chassis is equivalent to a larger commercial vehicle chassis. The cockpit is also similar to a commercial vehicle, with a larger box behind it. Passengers can still move freely inside the car, but relatively limited.
Pickup Truck Mounted Campers
To meet the most basic travel needs in exchange for the greatest freedom of pickup. Pickup Camelbacks come in a variety of different sized boxes loaded on unmodified pickups. Travel Trailers
Trailer RVs are the main force in RVs. There are many options for this type of motorhome, ranging in size from a single room to the size of a Class A motorhome, with the difference that it must have a trailer. Depending on the size, the trailer option can also be a family sedan, SUV or pickup. The problem with this type of RV is that it increases the difficulty of driving and is easy to swing the tail.
Pop-Up Trailers
This type of RV emphasizes compactness and lightness, and is the smallest category of engineless RVs. But in fact, its space is not smaller than that of ordinary RVs, and there are canvas supports around it, forming a tent-like space. The disadvantage of the folding RV is that the thermal insulation performance is poor, and it is more suitable for young people to camp in summer. Because the car body is very light and easy to tow, a slightly larger motor vehicle can be used as a trailer, and almost no modification is required.
TOY HAULER
A type of towable RV that sleeps up to 8 people and varies in length from 19 to 39 feet. This type of RV is more focused on sports and leisure purposes. There is cargo space at the back of the car, which can be easily transported to big guys such as ATV, off-road vehicles, motorboats, canoes, snowmobiles or motorcycles. The biggest difference from other trailer RVs is that RVs There is a downward sloping ramp for easier handling.
