Products Design

A TVS is installed at the low-voltage power supply input to effectively prevent surges. A high-frequency isolation transformer provides auxiliary power to the high-voltage side. Digital isolators communicate between the high- and low-voltage control units. The input auxiliary power supply includes current limiting protection. Temperature sensors NCT_A and NTC_B, located at the water inlet and outlet, respectively, monitor coolant temperature in real time, providing timely protection when temperatures exceed these limits.

Principal Difference: Thick-film technology uses screen-printed rare earth slurry to form micron-scale circuits on a substrate (ceramic/stainless steel), achieving an electrothermal conversion efficiency of >95%. PTC technology relies on the ceramic material to self-limit its temperature, resulting in an efficiency of only 70-80%.
Response Speed: Thick-film heaters activate in just 30 milliseconds, 1,000 times faster than PTC heaters (>28 seconds), reducing battery warm-up time to 5 minutes in low-temperature environments.
Q2: What is the energy efficiency ratio (COP)? How does it affect battery life in winter?
The COP can reach over 0.95, saving 20-30% more energy than PTC heaters. After activation at -20°C, battery life loss is reduced to 8-10% (compared to 25-30% for PTC heaters).
