Its key component technologies, such as drive motor technology and power battery technology, have been at the forefront of the world, and relevant testing standards and regulations have also been continuously improved.

 

The core technology that distinguishes new energy vehicles from traditional vehicles is the "three electrics", including motors, batteries, and electronic controls. Among them, pure electric vehicles (Battery Electric Vehicles, BEV) use a single battery as the energy storage power source. As an energy storage power source, the battery provides electric energy to the electric motor to drive the electric motor to run, thus driving the car.

 

The drive motor system is highly integrated, the power density performance is significantly improved, and the cost is significantly reduced. Conduct drive motor system tests in accordance with GB/T 18488.2-2015 "Drive Motor System for Electric Vehicles Part 2: Test Methods", including general tests, temperature rise tests, input and output characteristics tests, safety tests, environmental adaptability tests and Reliability testing, etc.

 

The energy density of the power battery system has been increased from 80W·h/kg to more than 180W·h/kg. According to GB/T 31484-2015 "Cycle life requirements and test methods for power batteries for electric vehicles", GB/T 31486-2015 "Electrical performance requirements and test methods for power batteries for electric vehicles" and GB 38031-2020 "Power batteries for electric vehicles" Safety Requirements" conduct power battery system tests, including electrical performance tests, life tests and safety tests, etc.

The drive motor system is an important energy conversion unit for pure electric vehicles. It is one of the three core systems of electric vehicles. It is the main drive system for vehicle driving and the key to realizing electric drive. Its characteristics determine the main performance indicators of the vehicle and directly affect the vehicle's power, economy and user driving experience. The drive motor system consists of a drive motor and a drive motor controller (MCU), and is connected to other systems of the vehicle through high and low voltage wiring harnesses and cooling pipelines.

 

Chinese car companies currently generally use three-phase AC permanent magnet synchronous motors. The controller inverts the DC power of the power battery into AC power for its input. It has the advantages of small size, high efficiency and long life.

 

According to GB/T 18488.2-2015, the drive motor system test is divided into 6 categories and 27 items. Among them, the power, torque, speed and other parameters measured in the input and output characteristic test directly affect the vehicle's acceleration performance, climbing ability, maximum Performance such as vehicle speed and energy consumption.

 

Test bench

The torque-speed characteristic test of the drive motor system is mainly carried out on the drive motor test bench. It is to test whether the working characteristics of the drive motor system at different speeds and different torques meet the requirements of the product technical documents. Typical drive motor system tests The bench is mainly composed of a dynamometer, a power DC power supply, an electric power analyzer and a cooling system. The host computer controls the operation of each system and simultaneously monitors and measures parameters such as speed, torque, current, and voltage.
