A battery thermal management system (BTMS) maintains the temperature of an electric vehicle's battery pack within a suitable range, thereby extending its driving range and improving battery life. It is also known as a battery thermal management system, battery cooler, or battery pack cooling system.
We specialize in developing thermal management systems for electric bus batteries, electric truck batteries, electric marine batteries, and electric heavy equipment batteries. Products structure

This product's main structure is divided into a cooling and heating system and an electrical system.
The main components of the cooling and heating system include an electric compressor, electric heater, microchannel condenser, condenser fan, water pump, dryer filter, thermal expansion valve, and plate heat exchanger.
The main components of the electrical system include a controller and wiring harnesses.
Products Operational Principle
The schematic diagram of the company's EHP battery thermal management system is shown in Figure 2-1. The solid red line in the figure represents the cooling cycle, and the dashed blue line represents the coolant circulation.

Cooling Mode
When the fan and compressor are turned on, the high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant is ejected from the compressor, enters the condenser to dissipate heat and cool down, and then reduces pressure and temperature through the thermal expansion valve. The low-pressure, low-temperature refrigerant enters the battery cooler and exchanges heat with the high-temperature cooling fluid flowing out of the battery pack. After absorbing heat, the refrigerant enters the compressor intake vents and completes a cooling cycle. At the same time, the high-temperature cooling fluid flowing out of the output of the battery pack is pumped into the cooler to cool down, forming low-temperature cooling fluid, which enters the cooling battery at the input of the battery pack to complete a water cycle.
Heating Mode
The fan and compressor are turned off, the water pump and electric heater are turned on, and the low-temperature cooling liquid is heated through the electric heater and flows into the cooler into the battery pack to heat the batteries.
Self-cycling mode
Compressors and electric heaters are turned off, and water pumps and fans are turned on. The cooling liquid circulates between the heat management unit and the battery pack, taking away the heat from the battery pack.

The optimal operating temperature for a battery is between 20°C and 45°C. Exceeding this temperature will significantly reduce the battery's range and lifespan. Furthermore, it may affect surrounding equipment and even cause hazards such as fires and explosions. Therefore, electric vehicles especially require a battery thermal management system, commonly referred to as a BTMS, battery cooler, or battery pack cooling system.
If the battery temperature falls below this range, its electrochemical activity will decrease, battery performance will decline significantly, and it may even experience a complete power failure. Our product can heat the battery, hence we call it a battery heater.
