This series of electronic water pumps is a brushless motor-driven canned pump. The main components are as follows:

A DC brushless motor including a rotor assembly (including an impeller assembly) and a stator housing (including a shielding sleeve and rear bearing housing assembly);

A controller (PCB assembly) for communicating with the main control unit and controlling the DC brushless motor;

A pump cover for connection to the vehicle, engine, and cooling system;

A brushless motor rear cover including a wiring assembly for connecting to the vehicle.

Recommended installation angles:

a) After installation, maintain an angle between the center line of the inlet and the horizontal plane between -5° and +5°.

b) After installation, maintain an angle between the center line of the outlet and the horizontal plane between 5° and +90°.

The controller and the electric water pump can communicate via CAN. Under normal operating conditions, the controller outputs different message signals to control the water pump's operating status and speed. Simultaneously, the water pump has self-diagnostic and protection functions. When the water pump is under abnormal operating conditions, such as overvoltage, undervoltage, stall, dry running, overcurrent, or overtemperature, the pump will execute its own protection strategy and provide feedback via the CAN signal line.

Stalled Rotor Protection

If a foreign object in the pipeline causes the rotor to seize, the pump will automatically stop and send a fault signal. It will restart after 3 seconds. If the fault persists, the pump will restart 50 times before stopping.

Dry Run Protection

When the pump speed exceeds 3700 rpm, if the power consumption is less than 40W, the pump will enter a low-speed operation state. It will stop after 15 minutes and report a fault. It will resume operation after power is restored. If the pipeline returns to normal during low-speed operation, the pump will exit the low-speed operation state.

Overcurrent Protection

If the pump detects a current greater than 40A, it will stop and send a fault signal. It will restart after 3 seconds. If the fault persists, the pump will restart 50 times before stopping.
