The coolant in new energy vehicles needs to be temperature-controlled in three places:

★ It is recommended to install rubber shock-absorbing pads at the bottom of the two M6 connection mounting holes, with a hardness of HA70~80.
Working Principle
The three-way valve for new energy vehicles mainly consists of a valve body, a motor drive mechanism, and an internal valve core. The motor drives the valve core to rotate or move, changing the flow path and flow ratio of the coolant between the three ports. It can realize single-pass conduction, dual-pass simultaneous conduction, and flow distribution adjustment. Thus, according to the temperature control requirements of the battery, motor, air conditioning and other systems, it can accurately control the flow of coolant to different cooling or heating circuits, and complete the intelligent switching and temperature control of the whole vehicle's thermal management.
A three-way valve distributes flow
If the battery is too hot → the valve switches to the battery cooling circuit.
If the battery is too cold → the valve switches to the heater/heater circuit.
If the motor is overheating → the valve switches to the motor cooling circuit.
If air conditioning is needed for heating → the valve directs the heat to the air conditioning system.
